Hi and welcome! My name is Melissa and this little website is my internet home. I pray, I play, I write, I cook, and I take pictures of delicious food! I am a full time lover of Jesus and enjoy going after whatever brings me JOY.
Currently, I am overseas playing basketball professionally all over the world, but I have always had a strong passion for cooking. Growing up in a family owned restaurant, there has been no shortage of time being spent in the kitchen. And in all honesty, I’ve enjoyed every minute of it! It has always been a part of my life and something I wanted to pursue, but for a while basketball was my main priority.
Without getting too deep, I realized that I don’t need to restrict myself to ONE thing. I am capable of doing much more than playing hoops, and creating yummy food concoctions is one of them!
I’m excited to be sharing some fun in the kitchen and bring to you a combination of clean desserts and main dishes that have helped keep my body strong and healthy (especially during my pro career), as well as some not-so-clean creations for you know, those treat yourself moments! A lot of my food inspiration comes from travelling, and trying foods from many different cultures (I’ve lived in 13 different countries in the last 9 years).
